Texital, based in Bergamo, is a leading company in the Italian textile interior design sector. It creates collections for the most important textile publishers and upholstered furniture manufacturers.
Our fabrics, woven on rapier and jacquard looms using cotton and natural fibers, are recognized and appreciated for their contemporary look and the richness of the yarns, enhanced by double-beam weaving.
We pay great attention to 100% Made in Italy quality and offer a personalized service tailored to the customer′s needs.

PRODUCTION

In our production, we use traditional artisan weaving techniques, with a strong emphasis on manual craftsmanship.
The passage from hand to hand, from operator to operator, ensures constant control over the fabric formation process.
The hand-knotting of warps allows us to create fabrics that are unique in the world, where the richness and variety of yarns are essential features and a symbol of refinement.
The entire production cycle, from warping to quality control, is carried out exclusively in Italy.
We rely on the expertise of skilled and passionate artisans. Our weaving department consists of both highly efficient modern electronic looms and mechanical looms, which operate at lower speeds but uphold the uniquely Italian craftsmanship that continues to set us apart.
All our production is yarn-dyed, ensuring exceptional lightfastness through the use of Indanthrene dyes.
We believe that the use of natural yarns, without synthetic fibers, is a key value—enhancing both the quality and sustainability of our fabrics.

🌱 SUSTAINABILITY 🌱

The uniqueness of our fabrics, distinguished by the richness of materials and the double-beam weaving technique, requires us to maintain a production process that necessarily operates at lower speeds.
This ensures that the resistance of the yarns is not pushed to its limit, and their natural performance is sufficient to guarantee excellent results.
The reduction in speed, along with the recent installation of LED lighting, has allowed us to minimize energy consumption to its lowest.
Moreover, at Texital, we have always avoided the use of any sizing agents or paraffin.
This characteristic of ours aligns with the sustainability needs that are emerging in our industry.
Our fabrics do not require any washing to remove external agents, unlike fabrics produced in more industrial settings.
Lastly, it is important to note that between 90% and 92% of the yarns we use are made entirely of cotton or natural fibers, fully respecting the sustainability of the planet.

With our suppliers, we develop the yarns to achieve the best compromise between image and performance.

DEFINE THE STYLE AND DESIGN

The fabrics offered have many creative influences and touch on various styles and trends, in order to meet the needs of customers and adapt to different sectors of use. In addition to the proposals developed internally, we are able to develop products following the customer′s directions, collaborating on the creation of the product and providing our expertise to achieve the best possible result.

DEFINE THE STRUCTURE

Most of the fabrics produced by Texital are made with a double backing, meaning we create a supportive structure for the fabric that is only visible on the back, but it provides strength and stability. In this way, we can work on the front of the fabric with a very wide variety of yarns.

CREATION OF FABRIC SAMPLES

After creating and conceptualizing the fabric with CAD, we have a dedicated loom for sampling where we can conduct tests, allowing us to assess the achieved results. This is the starting point for further developments and ideas, which can generate a new creative process.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

DYE

The raw yarn is dyed on a reel to best manage its uniformity and solidity. We rely on Italian dye-houses, which are certified and respectful of the environment.

WARP

This refers to the phase of creating the bobbins, or the cylinders with which the frame is fed. Texital has two warping machines suitable for warping any type of yarn.

KNOTTING

It is not possible to mechanically knot the finest and most characteristic threads that distinguish our collections. We manually knot the threads, an artisanal technique that requires time but makes the fabrics unique.

WEAVING

The versatility of our frames, the use of jacquard machines, and the weaving that seeks quality before productivity; these are the three main ingredients to maintain the high level of production, all carried out in-house, to guarantee the best Made in Italy.

QUALITY CONTROL

We monitor the entire production process, both before and after the finishing stage. Batch uniformity and tailored attention are indispensable in ensuring the best service.
